Art Director (Web)

Your Role

As an Art Director, you are the visual whisperer, you have a keen eye for design and are driven to create innovative visual concepts. You are known for setting a bar for design excellence. You have a deep drive to create unique concepts and experiences. With your experience in designing for a wide variety of users, you understand that people’s needs are vastly different and you successfully commanded attention through beautiful, smart and forward thinking design time and time again. Because of your ability to see the big picture, think strategically and understand human behavior, you always support your design with business goals, strategy and consumer data. With that said, you understand that sometimes to achieve better results, killing great ideas is just as important to your job as developing the concept in the first place. You also have great ability to provide thoughtful, critical feedback and guidance to your team. You are a great leader and enjoy researching what’s cutting edge relative to our clients industry so that you can inspire your team to create world-class design.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a team of designers to create stunning websites, apps, brand and marketing assets
  • Transform creative brief, research and strategy provided from the Strategy team into innovative visual concepts for the right target audience
  • Great passion and have a keen eye for visual design principles
  • Collaborate with project managers, copywriters, strategists, and designers
  • Review research materials to better understand brand objectives, target audience, and industry trends
  • Can provide clear creative direction for the design team
  • Can provide career path guidance and timely and helpful feedback to improve creative processes.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the project are inline with the clients’ requirements
  • Brainstorm ideas and concepts and communicate it with the relevant teams

What You Should Have

  • Proven ability to design for vastly different audiences, brands and industries. We want to know you can easily move from one client to another without stumbling.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and have the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deliverables
  • At least 5-yrs of work experience as an art director, preferably in a design or digital agency
  • Strong experience in UI/UX design, branding, layout, web design
  • Experience working collaboratively with all levels of designers, copywriters and strategists – we want Art Directors who will be strong leaders while building strong team bonds
  • Exceptional eye for detail and a built-in habit of always double checking your work
  • Proficient in using design software (i.e. Figma, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A strong, well-rounded portfolio that showcases your individual design aesthetic
  • Enjoys keeping up with latest design trends and techniques
