About the role

As an SEO Lead, you spearhead comprehensive SEO strategies across various projects, starting from in-depth audits and competitive analysis to custom strategy development tailored to clients’ goals. Your role encompasses exhaustive keyword research, on-page SEO optimization, and technical SEO oversight, ensuring websites are primed for search engine visibility and performance. You guarantee seamless integration of SEO with broader digital marketing efforts, conduct rigorous pre- and post-launch testing and monitoring, and provide ongoing strategic adjustments and client support. Your leadership does not only drive our web projects’ success in search but also empower our clients through continuous communication, education, and collaboration on SEO best practices and insights. What you do

  • Strategic SEO Planning & Execution: Develop and oversee the implementation of robust, ROI-centric SEO strategies that dovetail with clients’ broader marketing objectives, making real-time adjustments based on analytical insights.
  • Pre-Project SEO Audits: Conduct thorough SEO audits for existing sites and detailed competitive analysis, setting the stage for informed strategy development.
  • Comprehensive SEO Strategy Development: Create detailed, custom SEO strategies for each web project, ensuring they align with clients’ business goals, target audiences, and industry best practices.
  • Keyword Research + Content Strategy Collaboration: Lead exhaustive keyword research initiatives and collaborate with content teams to develop SEO-driven content strategies that complement web design elements to enhance discoverability and engagement.
  • On-Page SEO Implementation: Provide expert recommendations and oversee the implementation of all on-page SEO elements, including meta-data, URL structure, and keyword optimization.
  • Technical SEO Oversight: Spearhead technical SEO considerations, including site architecture, mobile optimization, site speed enhancements, and structured data integration.
  • SEO Integration in Digital Strategies: Ensure seamless integration of SEO strategies with clients’ broader digital marketing efforts, including PPC, social media, and email marketing.
  • Pre-Launch Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive pre-launch SEO checks to ensure all elements function correctly and are primed for search engine crawling and indexing.
  • Post-Launch Performance Monitoring: Set up and manage tools for ongoing SEO performance monitoring and reporting, providing clients with regular updates, insights, and actionable recommendations.
  • Strategy Refinement and Ongoing Support: Offer continuous SEO support, making data-driven strategy adjustments as needed to respond to performance metrics and market trends.
  • Competitive Analysis & Adaptation: Undertake regular competitive digital landscape analyses, recalibrating SEO strategies to maintain a competitive edge and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work synergistically with various departments, aligning SEO tactics with wider marketing, content, and development initiatives, fortifying brand consistency and digital presence across all channels.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Serve as a mentor, fostering skill enhancement and professional growth among SEO team members through constructive feedback and learning opportunities.
  • Performance Reporting and Analysis: Regular analysis of key performance indicators, such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, bounce rate, conversion rate, and more. Comprehensive monthly reports detailing SEO performance, completed activities, and insights gained from data analysis.
  • Performance Monitoring: Leverage advanced tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz) for in-depth performance tracking, generating actionable reports that inform clients of their digital progress and areas for strategic refinement.
  • Client Training and Support: Develop and deliver training sessions or resource materials for clients, empowering them to understand and maintain SEO best practices post-launch. Regular communication with the client to discuss performance, strategic adjustments, and upcoming initiatives.
  • SEO Trend Monitoring and Compliance: Keeping abreast of the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices. Promptly adapting strategies to comply with new search engine guidelines and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, computer science, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful SEO strategies, preferably in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors, as well as experience with SEO tools and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and trends to make strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and other web development languages, with a good understanding of website architecture and technical SEO principles.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
