Learn about our Strategist position

As a Strategist at 500 Designs, you aim of helping our clients reach their goals through their digital content and website. You conduct extensive analysis and market research to understand consumer behavior and develop strategies that help our design and copy team create websites that click with their ideal audience. You identify opportunities around their online content based on deep analysis of competitors, market conditions, customer personas and customer journey.

What you do

Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research, competitor analysis, and user research to glean insights that guide web design strategy.
  • Analyze data and trends to understand user behavior, preferences, and needs, informing strategic decisions.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to web design and user experience.


Experience Strategy:

  • Develop a holistic web design strategy aligned with client objectives, target audience, and brand positioning.
  • Define key objectives, messaging, and user experience goals for the website, ensuring a cohesive strategic vision.
  • Collaborate with the design team to identify creative solutions that align with strategic insights.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for website structure, functionality, content, and visual design elements.


Brand Strategy and Positioning:

  • Collaborate with the Brand Strategist/s and/or Experience Strategists to develop brand architecture, positioning, and strategy that align with client objectives, target audience, and market trends.
  • Develop a comprehensive brand strategy that defines the brand’s purpose, values, and positioning in the market.
  • Review/revise and/or provide feedback on brand strategist’s work on brand strategy, brand architecture, positioning statements, value propositions, and messaging.
  • Collaborate with the Copy team to develop copy that supports the website’s objectives and resonates with the client’s brand.


Collaboration with Stakeholders:

  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, designers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals and requirements alignment.
  • When needed, facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input, address concerns, and make informed decisions.
  • Maintain effective communication channels to keep stakeholders updated on project progress and strategy development.


Performance Tracking and Analysis:

  • Establish relevant metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of web design and/or brand strategies.
  • Utilize analytics tools to monitor website performance, user behavior, and engagement metrics.
  • Analyze data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and provide data-driven recommendations.


Project Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess the effectiveness of web design strategies and implementation.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices to enhance future projects.
  • Stay current with industry advancements, design trends, and emerging technologies to continually refine web design strategies.

What you need to succeed

  • 3+ years of experience as a Strategist or similar role
  • Extensive experience with AI
  • Experience in competitive research and digital strategy analysis
  • Strong understanding of branding
  • Portfolio of brand-building projects is a plus
  • Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix
  • Data-driven thinking
  • Communication and writing skills
  • BSc/MSc in Marketing or relevant field
  • Strategic and analytical thinking
