UX UI Lead

As a UX UI Lead, you pioneer design innovation and shape user experiences that resonate. You harness human-centered design principles to craft interfaces that not only simplify workflows but also elevate the user journey to new heights. From creating visually captivating designs that minimize errors to maintaining brand guidelines for consistent communication, your influence will be felt throughout the design landscape.

You lead by example, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success from inception to execution. Your strategic acumen will guide project objectives, overseeing deliverables and engaging third-party partners when needed. With an ability to solve complex design challenges and anticipate industry shifts, you not only shape design initiatives but also lead the charge in thought leadership.

What you do

Design Innovation:

  • Employ human-centered design principles to conceptualize, design, and iterate on user interfaces that simplify workflows and enhance usability.
  • Create visually striking and seamless interfaces that minimize user errors, minimize training requirements, and elevate the user experience.
  • Define and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring consistent visual communication and shaping visual identity.
  • Contribute to the creation of a design culture centered around user-centric design principles, best practices, standards, processes, and tooling


User Insights and Data-Driven Design:

  • Analyze research findings and user data to inform the creation of impactful design solutions that elevate the user experience.
  • Architect user experiences through wireframes, user flow diagrams, and interactive prototypes, ensuring alignment with user needs.


Design Direction & Consistency:

  • Lead the development of design concepts, defining visual styles and guidelines that ensure consistent brand representation.
  • Ensure design consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across projects and touchpoints.


Interface Design Excellence:

  • Develop visually striking user interfaces that align with brand guidelines and enhance user engagement.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts and user flows.


Design Documentation and Culture:

  • Translate design concepts into detailed specifications, annotations, and documentation that guide development teams effectively.
  • Foster a culture of user-centric design principles, best practices, and innovative tooling to elevate the overall design quality.


Project Leadership:

  • Lead and oversee UX UI projects from inception to execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Define strategic objectives, manage deliverables, and engage with third-party partners when needed to achieve project goals.
  • Independently oversee and lead select internal design initiatives, including requirements gathering and definition of strategic objectives, as well as executional ownership of all deliverables, managing third party partners when applicable.


Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, stakeholders, and executives to align design direction with business goals.
  • Communicate design concepts and strategies effectively, leading discussions and presentations that drive decision-making.


Mentorship and Team Growth:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and senior team members shape the creative direction of projects.


Problem Solving:

  • Employ high-level creative problem-solving to address complex design challenges, develop effective strategies, and guide teams in overcoming obstacles.
  • Shape industry trends through thought leadership, anticipate changes, and strategically position design initiatives.


Usability & Accessibility:

  • Ensure designs are intuitive, usable, and adhere to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), making our digital experiences inclusive for all users.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to iterate and improve the user experience.


Technology and Tools:

  • Evaluate and recommend design tools, mentor team members on their usage, and stay updated with design technology advancements.
  • Champion the adoption of innovative tools and methodologies that enhance the design process.


Time and Project Management:

  • Manage projects at a strategic level, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Oversee project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project goals.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Arts, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+years of extensive experience in UI and UX Design: previous roles as a UX UI designer, interaction designer, or similar positions
  • Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, InVision, or similar software used in UX and UI design
  • Expertise in employing human-centered design principles and methodologies
  • The ability to create visually striking and seamless interfaces that minimize user errors and elevate user experiences reflects your strong commitment to user-centric design
  • Ability to guide and mentor creative teams and provide guidance to designers, copywriters, and other team members to enhance their creative contributions
  • Ability to analyze research findings and user data to create impactful design solutions
  • Strong experience creating wireframes, user flow diagrams, and interactive prototypes that align with user needs and inform design decisions
  • Proven experience with project oversight and management
  • Capability to lead and oversee UI UX projects from inception to execution
  • Strong strategic thinking and mindset to align design decisions with broader business goals and user needs
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic and fast-paced environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address complex design challenges creatively
